Gaurav Gupta presented his Couture’23 collection Hiranyagarbha in collaboration with DLF Emporio for FDCI India Couture Week after a triumphant debut at Paris Haute Couture Week in July.

As the India Couture Week 2023 event takes place at the DLF Emporio, we eagerly await everyone to see the deft beauty of Gaurav’s work.
The collection includes interpretations of the five elements—earth (Prithvi), water (jal), fire (Agni), air (vayu), and space (akasha) from the cosmic womb—inspired by the manifested cosmos in Vedic philosophy.
Janhvi Kapoor walked the runway in a show-stopping design from the collection that required 457 man hours to create, looking stunning in an electric blue lehenga decorated with 3000 hand-embroidered bugle beads.
The designer has expanded the Hiranyagarbha tale to include reception cocktail lehengas, dresses, saris, and modern hybrid silhouettes with the synergies of comfortable, confident, and easy couture for this edit of the couture collection.
The stark whiteness is surrounded by glittering, iridescent pearls and crystals that orbit the body, giving the appearance of space; Smoke pearl embroidery on shades of moondust evokes the wind; glass bugle embroidery on a startling electric blue reflects the flow of the water; colorful malachite conjures the glory of the soil; and acid yellow conjures the savage flames of the fire.
Gaurav changes the clothes in this cut to reflect a fantasy drama. On tuxedos and bandhgalas, whimsical creatures like Dragons, Pegasus, and Centaurs are depicted in 3-D embroidery. flamboyant jackets that have been elevated to sartorial grandeur.
This compilation follows a journey from conception to transformation to realization to eventual cosmos-harmonization. We are invited to accept the stark light within by this glimpse into the golden womb.
