In line with Yash Raj Films’ promise, a teaser for Salman Khan’s forthcoming espionage thriller, Tiger 3, was unveiled on Wednesday, coinciding with the birth anniversary of filmmaker Yash Chopra. This teaser offers a glimpse of the film’s trailer, the third installment in the Tiger franchise that commenced with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017.
In this brief preview, Salman, portraying Tiger, conveys a powerful message, stating, “I am Avinash Singh Rathore, but I am Tiger to all of you.” He proceeds to recount his 20 years of selfless service to the nation, during which he has been unjustly labeled a traitor. He appeals to the people of India to determine how they want to remember him to his son, requesting a character certificate from the nation.
Following this message, Tiger embarks on a mission, engaging in intense combat with new adversaries. The teaser features impactful dialogues, concluding with Salman affirming, “Until Tiger is defeated, Tiger does not surrender.”
Tiger 3 is a vital component of Yash Raj Films’ spy cinematic universe, which includes Pathaan, War, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Ek Tha Tiger. The film will feature a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan, mirroring Salman’s cameo in Pathaan. Maneesh Sharma, renowned for Band Baaja Baaraat, directs the film, with Katrina Kaif reprising her role as Zoya from the previous two films and Emraan Hashmi joining the franchise as the antagonist.
Salman wrapped up filming for Tiger 3 in Abu Dhabi in May. On completion, he stated, “Last night, I was shooting for Tiger (Tiger 3), and I have completed Tiger 3. Now you will get to see Tiger on Diwali, inshallah. It was a very hectic shoot, but it was good.” The movie’s first poster, featuring Salman and Katrina armed with machine guns, was released earlier this month.
This year has been a significant success for the Hindi film industry, with hits like Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Satyaprem Ki Katha. The release of Tiger 3 on Diwali is expected to add another blockbuster to Salman Khan’s repertoire. The previous two films, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai were box office hits, with the former earning Rs 198.78 crore and the latter Rs 339.16 crore.
