‘DUNKI’ VS ‘SALAAR’ On December 22, 2023, Indian cinema will witness a colossal clash as two iconic stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas, bring their blockbusters to the big screen. Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated “Dunki” and Prabhas’ action-packed “Salaar” are both set to captivate audiences on this monumental day.
While the release date for “Dunki” was unveiled by Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani last year, “Salaar” had a recent shift in its release schedule, with the makers announcing the thrilling news alongside a striking new poster of Prabhas. They declared, “Coming your way soon! #SalaarCeaseFire will ignite screens worldwide on December 22, 2023. #SalaarCeaseFireOnDec22.”
Originally slated for release on September 28, 2023, “Salaar” faced a postponement, while Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” hit theaters on September 7 and continues to dominate the box office.
Rajkumar Hirani shared the excitement for “Dunki” in an Instagram post last year, stating, “Shah Rukh Khan. Finally, we’ve made the decision to create a film together. Extremely thrilled to announce #Dunki, coming to cinemas next Christmas! Save the date: 22.12.23.”
Prabhas, on the other hand, teased fans with a simple Instagram post earlier this year when he released the teaser for “Salaar.” Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran, part of the film’s cast, shared the teaser, calling it “The most violent men…Summoned one man… The most violent. Presenting Salaar Cease Fire to the world.”
“Dunki,” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, is set to be produced by Gauri Khan.
Aside from Prabhas, “Salaar” boasts a stellar cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruthi Haasan, Tinu Anand, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, and Garuda Ram.
